Happy Holidays

Hello. long time no hear. Sorry i haven't been creative lately. I have been looking for work. I got let go from my job after 12 yrs. It was quite a shock. So i was upset so making any cards was not a option. I am starting to get mojo back.  Still looking for work.
And with the holidays its harder. At least i get to be with friends and family.

Here is a couple of cards i did for the holidays last year or so.

WarmWinterWishes

Hello all. I guess i have to face the fact that its early winter here in NY. We have about three inches on the ground. I am so not ready for Winter. At least my meds are constant and i don't have to worry that the cold would really bother me.

I have been doing alot of winter/christmas cards at work during break and lunch.
I haven't got a lot of ones ready to send to friends yet.

It did this one a few days ago. I kinda wanted this guy to hold the sign but couldn't see how it would look right. I love the winter wishes set i got . Its by Fiskars. Its a fun set.
I had the background paper from The Paper Studio. You can't see in the pic, the scarf and boots are colored with glitter markers.

 Are you getting your cards done? I am hoping to get mine done soon. I know i have to do the presents for co-workers soon. I have to design the card for them. I am leaning towards using a House Mouse stamp for it. I  have a couple to choose from.

Can't believe to me time flies.

Hello all. I can't believe that its almost Thanksgiving. That means i better get work on my Christmas cards for family and friends. I am still playing with designs. I tries this one.

I just got these chipboard stickers from Basic Grey. They were on sale! I forgot that JoAnns carries Basic Grey, they have at least two sets by them. They have the accessoires too. I thought that the Papers from My Minds eye and DCWV made this card.

This is a A2 sized card. The tree layer is 4 x 5 1/4 . i cut the snow 4 x 2 1/2 and rounded the top to make hills. stamped the snowman and colored his hat and arms. cut him out and put him on the hill. put the stickers in the upper left hand corner.

this is a fun card to make and super easy.

Brrrrr

Well the title says it all. Its gotten to the low 30s at night. Just makes me go Brrrr......
I have really busy with my other hobby.
I don't know if i said it or not. I collect and show Model horses. Yes i play with Plastic horses LOL. This past weekend was our Regional show for Region 10. Two days of showing and hanging out with friends.
I must say that our region is one of the hardest regions to show in because everyone brings their A game. I keep telling myself that i am learning more and more by showing.
I got numerous ribbons, And Two Top Fives this weekend. One was in performance, doing my fave class: OF Games. My set-up is the rubber ducky ring toss. Everyone loves seeing those ducks. And my other was in Halter AR Other Pony, with my Pony resin called Edelweiss,
I was hoping to do more but the competition was really tough. I had a couple of people ask if i brought cards, I was so exicited to show i forgot to pack them. I will make some to put in with my show stuff next time.

Here is example of a class in a live model horse show. this was the last time i showed at Regionals.

I am hoping to get more horses qualified for Nationals. We will see.

Since it was really chilly outside i made a card saying that.

I made this before work this morning while i warmed up from coming in from my Jeep.
I have paper stashed at work. I just recently got this cute set from Fiskars. Its called Winter Wishes, As you can see the penquins are so cute.  I love to color the scarfs and clothing on them. I love the sentiment, i think i will be using it alot. I have to get my Xmas card samples for people at work setup. I am not leaving myself time. I want to do some that i can mass produce. research is in order,.

Halloween goodies

Hello all. I can;t believe its October already. Where has the year gone. It seems just like yesterday it was spring. I have been doing some things with my other hobby. Model horse collecting and showing, I went to a show beginning of the month. I did well. I haven't shown my models in a year. I got some Nationals qualifed cards and lots of ribbons.

I also have been making cards in spurts. When my mojo lets me. LOL

I had black cardstock so i had to use some. I have had this paper in my stash for awhile. It looks like monsters peeking out. I had dcwv paper from last year that matched well. i love using my white gel pen to embellish.

I love using this paper, its so cute. I had to use the monkey treater. Maybe a kid will like this card.

I had to use heidi grace rub-ons for this card. I combined sayings for it. Oh i love the drippy goo punch, its my go to punch for Halloween.
Will start getting Occasion cards ready for submission to Just Cards soon.
Hopefully i will get Published again.

Boo to you

Hello everyone. I hope all are doing fine out there. I have been doing well. I recently got another Issue of Just Cards. That means i got published again!!!!! I feel so good when i do. That means i get the bug to do more cards. I fiqured out that its late September so i should work on my Halloween cards.

i had this paper from Heidi Grace designs , isn't it stinkin cute? i thought it would make a cute card. I had some rub-ons from Heidi Grace too. So it took longer to do the layers on this card than anything. I love Halloween, its such a fun Holiday. Hope i can do another post soon, i am going to do another challenge card. so be on the lookout.

brainstorms and hole punchs

Hello all. I got this really cool idea last night as i went to bed. It had to do with hole punching, But only problem my good hole punch is at work.
So i got to do my ideas at work during break.
Why is it that alot of ideas come when you are not doing any cards?

i punched holes from cardstock and pattern paper. glued then to the base, drew lines for strings, and used the craft tape i got from Micheals. easy birthday card.

i punched holes then put colored cardstock behind to show thru. and put craft tape on for another quick b-day card.

I love these ideas, i hope i get more of them.

Paperplaytime challenge

Hello doing another challenge here,
PaperPlaytime is doing another sentiment challenge. You had to use a sentiment and to use polka dots. I love using polka dots, its a neat theme to use.

i wanted to use a simple setup. I used a color purple theme to my card. My papers are from Paper Studio.  the flower is from making memories(was white) and i put polka dots with a purple Marvy marker to tie in the polka dots. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I am hooked on their stamps right now. I cut a banner from a white scrap and stamped the sentiment on it , then ran a purple marker round the edge of banner.
I loved how the card turned out. I think this one will go in the pile for Operation Write Home. What do you think?

HMFMC126 5x birthday

Hello all. I am trying to do another challenge. I love the House Mouse site and challenge blog. They come up with some good challenges.

I decided to try my hand at this one. It was to use a stamp with two or more animals( house mouse) for your project.

i wanted to use black cardstock for my card base. The orange pattern layer is by DCWV. The yellow and the striped is from Basic grey.
the orange layer is 4 x 5 1/4. i cut the others on a diagonal to layer over. I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black. colored with faber castell and distress marker. i layered the image with black cardstock and blue cardstock. I stamped birthday from Paper Smooches on the yellow triangle. i added the line of dot stickers from stampendous. on the striped layer.

What do you think? did i do good for this challenge?

Cardztv challenge 12

Hi I wanted to do a card for the challenge. only thing is i don't have any Cardztv stamps. So i use a different stamps on this card.

i cut a 8 x 11 sheet of Georgia Pacific paper to make a a2 sized card. i used a corner rounder by Fiskars to round all four corners. I cut the pattern paper to just under what was needed and rounded all corners. I stamped this cute image with Memento tuxedo black and colored with copic markers. i also rounded the corners on this image. I stamped the sentiment on the top and bottom of the stamped image. I think i came out nice.

I just wanted to share a card on one the hottest days so far this summer. It was brutal today. i was lucky that i work in air conditioning. I did this card today during break and lunch. i had the image mostly colored already.

I really like the Stamping bella line of stamps. i can do so many cards with this line. I colored the poppies a different color this time. This is just a cheery card.

i had to use Paper Smooches hugs sentiment on this card. It just makes you want to hug. LOL. Thanks for looking.

July ramblings

Hello to a Sunny July. I am so glad its summer now. I love the warm weather. it makes the RA livable. just going from air conditioned to outside takes me getting used to.
I am so glad that i got some cards done for the troops. i did 18 so far. I am getting another batch done.

i had some cardstock from Core d'nations. i thought grey would go really well with this pattern paper. this base is a A2 sized cardbase.

I got this pattern paper from Heidi Grace. its double-sized. It makes some really nice cards.  I had some adhesive pearls. I used sentiment sampler from Paper smooches. I love this set.  I hope to send this card with the others to the troops.

warm thoughts on being published

Hello all. i just wanted to share a card with you and share good news.

I was published in the recent Just Cards Summer issue.  My card is in the first section called Just Because. I think the World of you. I used Stampendous stamps. I love the Changito stamps. The kneehugger is so cute. you can color it so many ways.
I did direct to paper method to the mat. its a fun way to make background paper.

I would like to share this card with you today

I used red cardstock from Core d'nations to make a 5 inch square card.

Basic grey papers for the pattern papers. I got some craft tape from Micheals.

The stamps are Paper Smooches- healthy vibes set. I colored the cups with Distress Ink Markers.

I love how this card came out. Its so colorful and cheery.

looking for hot days

well we are suppose to get some hot days in the next few. like 95 each day. i know i will be in the air conditioned living room, stamping and coloring images. that is a cool thing to do.

i did this card, hopefully to send for the troops. i love the paper smooches stamps. they stamp so well. i wanted to do a boys type card. the colors lend well to this style.
ever see a blue alien? i haven't lol. all the ones that i have seen on cards are yellow or green. I sent a batch of cards out to Operation Write home. i will do another later this week.

lulu love poppies

Hello all. I love having a day off. I have weird vacation at work. So i had to use up some days before our vacation renews. I decided to make some three day weekend. for the month of June. Love it. It is suppose to be a warm day. I love days off. I can do the little things i wanted to do, but not be rushed to do them.  I got to spend alittle time with my nephew before he is off to school.

I have been getting some of my card making supplies organized. well this is a chore. I have to purge the stash. I guess i will be making a donation somewhere. I might be able to stamp and get some cards ready to mail.

i got this stamp from my local stamp store. Stamping and Scraping Time. They get in some really nice things. This Stamp is Lulu loves Poppies by Stamping Bella.

I colored the image with a mix of Copic and Faber castell markers. I was just getting some colors of papers together to try. I want to do a bunch of cards with this image. She is so pretty, and i found out that poppies come in more colors than red. i can't wait to try then in blue.

i did this quick card while at lunch break.  I just got the Basic Grey Stack PB & J.
its such a nice paper stack. really nice colors and patterns.  I had some red Core' dnations paper for the base. I had some adhesive pearls to put into the corners.
I Had to use the Sentiment Sampler set from Paper Smooches.

hi all . love these stamps from Stampendous. I found this one in the clearance section at Micheals. I just had to put ink to it.  I also got some of the Distress markers that came out. I must say i am loving the picket fence marker. using up the scraps at work for the pattern paper for this card.  i can't believe that its June first already. It seems that it was winter not long ago. I am not missing the cold weather. lol.
should i do a card like this for a magazine submission?

Evening all. I have had a good day today. I have been playing with different stamp sets. I wanted to do a sample card. with a scene theme. I just got Kiss my Grass stamp set by Cats Pajamas. This is so cute.  I hoped to do justice to this set. I colored the bunny and the flowers with a mix of Distress markers and Faber Castell. I love the warm grey faber castell marker i bought. I had to use Basic grey paper for the sun.. And using a sentiment from Paper Smooches.  i need to get some cards ready to send for Operation Write Home! Hopefully during the holiday weekend i can get them together and make some more for the troops.

I need to make more kid friendly cards too. These stamp sets make it easy to do just that.

Hello all. I must say that New York state is getting some good weather finally. I have been trying to do some walking out there. I have been walking at early evening. am up to 3/4 of a mile. With some stops to stretch. i love the bugs! NOT!

I have been trying to do some cards during break. my mojo went on siesta i think.

sky the limit paper smooches

Hello all. I am trying my hand at another challenge. Sky is the limit paper smooches. I love these stamps. I hold i  did well. I didn't have a sun stamp so. I made due with a punch and some yummy basic grey paper.

I wanted to do a ocean to sky card. I stamped the sumerged poles witht pelican on one to do the seam of ocean to sky blue. i hope everyone liked it.

my sister b-day card

Hello all. i just wanted to show off the birthday card i did for my sister. I just haven't given it to her in person yet. lol I sent a pix by phone saying happy birthday.
I wanted to use the new markers i got at the art store. they are Faber Castell artist markers. I love the warm grey color i got to color the mouse.

i used pattern paper by the paper studio. They have some nice stuff.
I am hoping to get some cards together for Send Love today. i have a bunch of animal cards made.

Paper Playtime challenge #73

Hello all. I guess i am getting into doing these challenges. I love anything goes . It makes the creative juices going. I had to use one of the new stamps i got on clearance from Hobby Lobby. I get alot of my stamps like this.

This is a stamp from Stampendous. Head over heels Changito. The card stock is from Core d'nations. The pattern paper is from CTMH. I got a couple of pieces from a demo. I cut banners from the the reverse side. I colored changito with Faber Castell markers. I like to doodle on my cards in some way. I decided to do dots around the edges of the card.  This card is going to a child for Send Love Today. I am getting a envie together to send next week.

HMFMC118 house mouse challenge

Hello all. I have been following some blog and seeing all the challenges. I look at them and say i can do that. Well i have been working at this card during my breaks at work. I am submitting it for the challenge.

i used pattern paper from basic grey and DCWV. all my cardstock is from Core d'nations and the paper company. I used buttons from favorite findings to go across the seam. i used copic, crayola and faber caster markers for coloring. i made this a hug card by the epoxy sticker from Heidi Grace.

Wanna Nibble

Hello all. I have been getting things done for my Mother's birthday over the weekend. so do any crafting was put on hold for it. I took her shopping and bought her gift. Then i did the cleaning so she didn't have to.

I have been trying to get cards done so i can submit. i hope i make it for the deadline.

I did this card just because, i was trying out some new markers.

i made a A2 sized card of of this cardstock by core'dinations. i paired it with this nice pattern paper by basic grey. I stamped this flopsy from My Favorite Things. i used faber caster markers to color it in. i had to put these little buttons from Favorite findings. what do you think?

Paper Playtime challenge

Hello all. I was watching CardzTV the other day. And Mary had her card for the challenge up. I decided to challenge myself to enter it. It was a birthday card with sentiment. I came up with this card.

I used cardstock to make a A2 sized card. the pattern paper is from The Paper Studio- The classics matstack. i used cardstock from Recollections and Bazzill.

The image is from Whipper Snapper. which i stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. I stamped the sentiment in the same ink as the image. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I hope this is good enough for the challenge. What do you think?

elegant card

Hi I was doing some cards for so submission for magazines. I had to do one card to post. I just got some paper from Hobby Lobby. They had the paper studio on sale. I picked up the stack called the Classics.  i wanted to do a black and white card.

Hello all. i just wanted to tell everyone. I got a copy of the new Just cards in the mail.

I told myself that i haven't subscribed to it , so my mother told me to look thru it.
Maybe it would surprise me.
And it did, My card was featured in the amazing animals section. i love getting neat surprises.

Hello all. I had a wonderful birthday over this past weekend. I got money from my father for my present. I went off to my local stamp store for some birthday gifting.  I picked up stamps of course. I got a birthday sentiments set from Stampendous. Really good sayings.
I got a unity stamp set. The newest set with the cowboy boots. I also got a Stamping Bella stamp. Its so cute. Showers huggabugg. I can't wait to get it inked.

The card i am showing today is made with Stamping Bella. I fell in love with this stamp. it can make so many cards with this image.  i used the spotlight teqnine. for this card. i really didn't have the right coloring medium at work to color this image. so using this teq. helped get this card done.

I used pattern paper by K & Company.  Stamps from Stamping Bella. Metal dots from Colorbox and Ribbon by Martha Stewart.
i colored my circle with prismacolor colored pencils.

Hello all. I have another card to post.

I made this for a co-worker when i found out that he had emergancy surgery.

I used the Operation Write Home set from Hero Arts. I can see now that the stamping is light on this. Miss you is stamped on the background and Hello Handsome is stamped on the stars. my paper is from K & Company.

hopefully i can do another card of this type to publish in a magazine.

I have had a long day. i got to do some coloring and card assembly on break and lunch.

playing with my new stamps that i got from my local stamp store Stamping And Scraping Time.

I made this card with Stamping Bella stamps.

i used Patty McClucky. she is so cute.  the pattern paper is from DCWV. Its from their Chatue Lavender mat stack. the metallic paper is from the Serenity mat stack. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart.  coloring is a blend of copic & crayola markers and also prismacolor colored pencils. i popped her up with thermaweb foam squares.

i need to do another card using this image. she is so cute. maybe i will submit a card for the Holiday issue of Just cards. this card has gotten me thinking about magazines.

Happy March!!

Well people it is March. Can we say i am happy it is here. This is my birthday month. I am apart of the Splitcoast stampers Brak group- Birthday Random act of Kindness. I have been getting birthday cards already. I feel so grateful that people would send me a birthday card. I hope to have a good birthday this year.

i used black card stock to make the colors pop. The image is from Whipper Snapper. They have the most adorable stamps. I colored it with prismacolor colored pencils and gamsol. i love how the shading came out on the bunny. the pattern paper is from K & Company-their adhesive mat stack. I added adhesive metal dots from colorbox and a epoxy sticker from Heidi grace. I used my white gel pen to doodle around the outside of the card.

What do you think? should i do one like this to submit? i would love to know your thoughts on this.

pastel thinking of you

Hello all. i saw the tutorial of the pastel on black on splitcoast stamper.
I thought to myself that i could do that. I made sure i had all the components to try this.
I had a heck of the time trying to get a simple bottle of white embossing powder. I had to go to three stores to find it. now i have some to keep me busy for awhile.

I used The Hero Arts set for Operation Write Home. It has some nice stars and hearts on it. And a varied assortment of sentiments.
This is my test card. I think it did well. i think using souffle pens might work better for the inside of the stars. I got a distress tool. i love it. now i can stop dulling up my scissors.

I have to find my flowers stamps sets so i can try this with them.

i want to say thank you to all the people following me. It means alot. I love making friends and making cards for causes.

i have no mojo at home but tons at work. go figure!

Hello everyone. I can't believe that is Feb. already.
I have been doing some cards, mainly birthday ones. I am on BRAK on splitcoast stampers. I actually got all my cards done and mailed for Feb. Here is one that i did.

i love the image from Whipper Snapper.  he is so cute. The sentiment is from My Creative Time with Emma.  i got this set because i did alot of birthday cards. I love how they stamp.

Hopefully i will get more cards done this week. Its been super busy with work. So i have been alot of overtime. It cuts into my crafting and reading time. LOL

Hello all. I hope you are having a good new year so far.
I have been updating my stash, getting ready for Valentine's Day.

Love the new stacks from DCWV. I had to make a card using them. This was made with all pattern paper. I just worked alittle magic with my white gel pen around the edges.  I think it makes a wonderful romantic card. Do you think?

I love the colors and the glitter in this card i made. This card took me ten mintues to make. I made it during my break at work.

Happy new Year to everyone. I hope you all had a happy new year. and the year is going good for you so far.

Well sorry i haven't posted to the blog for a while. Just after Christmas i just haven't felt well. Had to be Wed. of last week, i got the flu bad. lets just say i wasn't pretty. so i took thursday off to recoup. would of used friday but i had to work because it was end of the month. My stomach hurt so bad those days. i lived on liquids. got through work and got to get better. yesterday i actual got to eat solid food without having heartburn and stomach pain.  I actually had today off. so i feel even better than yesterday.

One good thing that happened. I found out another card got published in Just Cards.
It was one of the shocking moments when flipping thru the magazine and saying hey this look like something i did.  lol made my day even though i was sick.

i hope to have more to show in the new year. Heres to health and happiness to all.
