Chilling and commissions

Hello all. I hope your holiday season is progressing pretty well.
I have been trying to do christmas shopping, Its alittle hard when i don't know what to buy.

I have been a small number of cards. I gave this one to my hairdresser when she gave me my cut. pattern paper by DCWV, The stamp set is from MFT- Baby its cold outside. I love doing paper piecing. My hairdresser thought it was pretty nice that i gave a handmade card.

I was asked before the weekend by one of my co-workers to make a card for him. I said sure, what kind? He said he wanted romantic birthday. It had to have the color blue with white. I think i did quite well with this one. I love the stickers from K & Company. these matched well with the color theme. i got to use my nesties for the mats for the flowers.  i used a glossy accents in white for the embellishment on the foil mat.   Well to make more cards. thanks for hanging with me.

I wanted to say Thank you to Mary @ Cardztv today. She showed the cards i sent for her coffee and cards episode. I am so glad you liked them Mary!!! I hope you all liked them too. I have offically started my christmas shopping. I got my mother one present and my nephew one. I still have more presents to buy.

here is a card i did last year at this time. I love using snowmen and flowers together. the colors mix so well. i have to get this stamp out to do more cards for winter.

hello all. i did this card today. i will probably send it to my welcome rak person from splitcoast stampers. i love house mouse images. this was a sticker from a package i got from my local stamp store. they have the most fun stuff around. the papers are from basic grey , dcwv, and k & company. the metal dots i got from joanns.

Hello all. Its been awhile. With holidays coming, there is alot of things to do.

My card making has been doing well. I get to make a card a day. With doing cardmaking at work during break and lunch, it helps me to relax and be calm.

I have to get some cards to get ready to submit to magazine. I also promised myself to do more challenges.  What are the most needed cards?  Birthday, miss you, thanks???

i used cardstock from the paper company. the 4 x 5 1/4 mat is from basic grey. the green paper strip is from my minds eye. The stamp is from Whipper snapper, the sentiment is from hero arts. the silver dots  are from jo anns. i colored the mouse with copic markers.

Hopefully i will start my christmas card making soon.

Mummy card

Hello all. I case a Mummy card from the halloween edition of Papercrafts magazine. It was made from ribbon.
I didn't have any of this ribbon so i used beige cardstock for the mummy's bandages.
I think it came out so neat.

I used cardstock from recollections and the paper company. for the eyes i used my fiskars circle punch and cut them in half. The sentiment is from stickers from K and Company. I love halloween. Can't wait to see the neat cards and costumes from the kids.

Monkeys and baby cards

Hello all
i have been doing cards at work during break. i have been trying to branch out with my cards.

i had the pattern paper at work. I wanted to match colors in what i had on my desk. The stamps from Hampton Arts. I did paper piecing for the mommy to be.. i stamped and cut out the pacifiers. I love to do faux stitching on my cards. I don't have a real sewing machine.  This card is a A2 size.

I just got this sock monkey stamp from Hobby Lobby during their stampabilites sale. I just love em. I had to do one in a non traditional color. I wanted to do a yellow and black card. The pattern paper is K & company sticker mat pack. i stamped the sentiment because the monkey makes me smile.

Can't believe its September already. What happened to the summer? Ready for the apple picking time.

My Creative time Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hello all. i finally got my card done for the throwback Thursday challenge. Its a cricut-less challenge. That means no working with the cricut. You also had to use the colors: purple, green, orange and black.

i didn't even stamp on this card. the card stock is the paper company. The swirled purple layer is from K & company. The pattern paper is from DCWV ghosts & goblins mat stack. This card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 .
the boo is cut from the pattern paper that had the words page. So it has all the required colors.

Viva LasVegas stamps DT Submission

Hello all, so glad that you are here with me. I am doing a submission for a Design Team call.

Its for Viva Lasvegas stamps. I have some of their stamps and they are great. I get comments of the frog stuck to light pole for the holidays all the time.

this is a A2 sized card base. All pattern paper is by DCWV-Ghosts and Goblins mat stack.

The stamped image is by Viva Las Vegas stamps. Stamped in Memento Black ink and colored with copic markers. the Happy Halloween is popped up with ThermoWeb Adhesive pop up squares.

This is Another A2 sized card. All pattern paper is using the same mat stack. I distressed around the image and its mat.I have sizes if someone wants to make the card. The words paper was 4 x 5 1/2 , the strip is 1/2 in x 4. The Halloween is cut from the paper as is. I really like these Halloween cards, i look forward to give them to people who love Halloween.  If you have any questions on these card, please contact me. I love to explain on how i made these. What was great about these is i did them at work during break, and my co-workers love to see new cards take shape.

Woo hoo. New vehicle

Hello all. I finally got a new vehicle. I got a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4 wheel drive.
I am so happy to get something with 4 wheel drive. Living in Upstate NY in the winter is definalty a 4 wheel drive must.

I got a bunch of cards done while on my vacation this week. I getting them ready to mail, so i can mail them out next week.


I love how this card came out. love house mouse stamps. they make such cute cards.

i did alot of paper piecing on this image. Love this stamp from Stamping Bella. Makes doing this so easy.

Seize the cupcake

Hello all. Sorry i haven't been on. Trying to find a new vehicle. MY poor car has 230,000 miles on it.
I was lucky , i found a jeep with 4 wheel drive. I need it with the Upstate NY winters,

I did get a card done. I used a corner rounder on this card. All cardstock is by The Paper Company. Pattern paper is by DCWV. Cupcakes are stickers from K & Company. Stamped sentiment is by Hero Arts.
Yellow ribbon. is from my stash.  I used a white gel pen for the faux stitching.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July all.
I just wanted to post and let everyone that i am fine. and card making has resumed.
I just have to get my camera to give up its pictures.

i took this with my cell phone while i was at work. All supplies are from K & Company except the white cards stock. which is georgia pacific. I edged all paper panels with black ink.
I hope eveyone has made cards for the troops and or at least thought about the troops today.

Memorial Day and American cards

Hello all. What are you doing for Memorial Day?

I am going to do Little shopping on Saturday. Maybe so type of crafty purchases :)
Sunday is grocery shopping day. But most of my holiday weekend will be making cards for
Operation Write Home & Send Love today. I love these two charities. I just have to remember to not use glitter for the OWH cards. The SLT cards are for the kids. Will you make cards for the troops? Its a great way to remember the troops that serve this country.

Peachy Keen Challenge #52

Hi I finally did a card for the Peachy Keen challenges. I saw the sketch and finally saw my card in this layout

I love how this card came out. I wish the faces were darker though :)

Pattern paper by K & Company's new American paper. I also got the matching star stickers for the side of the card. I used organzy ribbon from Offray to do the middle strip. I used felt stars from Spare Parts-Paper company. I stamped Basic Paper dolls faces onto the felt stars. I had to do a senitment. This card was screaming for a cute saying. Sentiment is from Stampedous.   What do you think? Its just a Happy hello LOL.
This card made a A2 sized card.

Looking forward to the holiday weekend. I plan on making some cards for Operation Write Home. Will you be working on cards for this cause too?

Mousey Birthday card

Hello all. Thanks for looking at my blog. I did some more walking. Boy does it feel good to be able to do it.
I also did my model horse show on Saturday. I did well. Mostly i had fun seeing my friends i haven't seen since March. I relized that i love both my hobbies, since i have met some wonderful people. I am so lucky that i can call them friends.

I did this card since i need to build up my stash of birthday cards.  This stamp is from Whipper Snapper. They make the cutest animal stamps. The pattern paper is from DCWV- dots stripes and plaid mat stack.
I used scissors for the edge around the image. the dots in the corners are stickers from Stampendous. I colored the image with my prisma colored pencils.

I am doing a good job? I would love to hear from you. When i get alittle better at this , i will be doing challenges for some prizes. I hope it will be soon.

A Peachy Card

Hi All. I am so proud of myself. Since being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis i have not been being good to my body and spirit.  Since today was a really nice day today in Upstate New york. I told myself that i will start walking again. I did it!! I walked a half mile today. This is really good for a person about 7 months ago couldn't walk to the bathroom and back without pain. I walked 3/4s the way and then i got a cramp in my thigh. Lets say that smarted!! But i sucked it up and did ,my cool down laps. I listen to some great music.

I did a card to cheer myself up. I have had my Peachy Keen faces and i finally got some stamped. I found these really cool flowers from Hero arts that need centers. The faces fit perfectly. I want to put some clouds on it to finish it. The flowers are so cheery. makes me smile. I hope it makes you smile too.

Woo Hoo!!! I got published!

I just wanted to let people know. I got published again. This time its Just Cards For Kids Issue.

I did two cards with stamps from Stampendous.  This first is the Teachers Rule card. With Changito with books.

This second one is my favorite of the two. It came out great. Love the spaceship.
I love the Just card issues. They have so much inspiration. I have to submit to the next issue.
They even asked for me to submit more. I am so happy. I hope everyone tries to submit work.

Happy May!

Wow time seems to be flying. I can't believe that its May already.
Tommorrow is my Baby sister's birthday. It seems like yesterday that we were children together.
And now she has a child of her own.
I made a card and it was taken over by my father since he need one to give to her.
I am so glad that i can make cards to save money and give someone a handmade something.

Little Thanks Card.

Well after yesterday, i have a new respect for thunderstorms. I work in Syracuse and just got out of work for the day. All i got to see was a gray-green sky. With lots of lightning, i got to my car before it started to rain.
I have two different ways to go home. Just my luck i picked the wrong one. Straight into the heart of the storm. The rain came down so hard you couldn't see. Then it started to hail. 3/4 inch hail. Lucky for me i found a overpass to park under. It flooded some roads. i waited until most of it passed to try to get home.
I love looking at storms but i don't like being in it.

Hoping there is no more storms for awhile.

I did this card because it reminded me of spring. I found some neat Basic Grey dollies at Big Lots.
I can  use these on my cardstock for card. I love working off my stash.( which i have to do more).

Cupcake card

Hello all. Boy time sure flies by when you least expect it to. I got to do a couple of cards. Using one of the sets that i got from my Micheals haul. I must be on a cupcake streak because this is another cupcake card.

Cardstock is by Recollections. the checked background is a really cool textured cardstock that i got from my local scrapbook store. The cupcake stamp is from Hero Arts. I colored them with my crayola markers. i am going to add a sentiment and some stitching around the checked background.  I just wanted to get a post to my followers.

Birthday Cupcakes

Hello all. I am trying to get my birthday cards built up. I decided to do a simple birthday card.
I choose to use the stamp sets that i got on clearance at Michael's. They were redoing their inventory so alot of sets went on clearance.
Lets just say i got a bunch of stamp sets that way.

I used Georgia Pacific card stock for my base. Its a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 card.

I stamped and colored the cupcakes on the card. then i stamped another to cut out.

i colored it and popped it up with foam squares. I used a template to do my dots around the border of the card.

When i stamped the sentiment, i first stamped it in light green ink, then stamped in black to the right slightly to do a cool shadow effect.

I colored the images with my mini crayola markers that i have at work.

The cupcakes from from Hero Arts. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

Hopefully i will have another birthday card to show you soon.

Happy Birthday card.

HI all. I was making a card for a friend of our family today, and decided to do a extra one.
I am so glad that i can do them during my break and lunch at work.  I have stamps, ink and paper on my desk at work. I wanted to do a spring type birthday card.

Used cardstock from recollections, pattern paper from Basic grey. punch and ribbon stickers from Martha Stewert. Butterfly stickers from K & company. Sentiment stamp from My Pink Stamper-Everyday Life.

I love those stickers, they have just enough glitter on them.  This is the first time i used a punch on a card. I love the polished look it gave. getting ready to get more cards together to submit to magazines. I really have to use some of my stash.

Unity Card.

Hi. Here is another card that i did. Its a clean and Simple card.
I got this stamp at a local scrapbook store. I love how it can work with so many occasions.

I stamped it with Memeneto Tuxedo black ink. I colored the image with prismacolor pencils. I used a plastic canvas piece to line up the dots around the image. I can use any sentiment i want with this card.

I wanted first off to thank Momo so very much for having the blog party. I am so happy to get more followers. I am hoping to post more,  I will be taking more pictures of my cards in the near future.

Here is a quick and simple card that i did.
Stamps by The Cat's Pajamas. I paper pieced the large mushroom and rabbit. i am going to be putting some faux stitching around it to complete it. I hope you like the simple charm of it.

Tuesday news.

Hello all. I am so done with computer issues. I hope this solves the problems that we have had with this computer. When being with out the computer , it made me work on cards for magazine publication.
I hope my work will be selected.
I also entered a contest in a magazine. I am so hopeful for this .

Wedsneday Tidings

Hi All. Boy seems like the week just flies by.
Working alot of overtime, thats good because i can buy more card stuff.
I am going to head to my local stamp store this weekend.
I have getting my instructions done for my submitted cards.

Helpful hint:
Write them as you do the card.

I am having trouble remembering what some things came from. LOL
I am getting them done.

Its Thursday!

Hello all. Thank god its Thursday. Since work has been busy, it seems that the week just flies by.

Getting some cards ready to send to magazines. They came out good. Right now i can't upload any new photos to the computer. But i can show you all some older work i have done.

Used stamps from Stampscapes, inkadinkado. It was my take on a scene. I hope everyone likes.

I tried my hand at paper piecing. I found that i really like doing it. I love this stamp from Stamping Bella.
Using Dcwv paper. Its a favorite of mine. i really like Basic grey too.
This card reminds me of what i look like on some mornings.

Happy hello

Hello all. Sorry about the long time in between posts. Our family computer was out of commisson for awhile.
I had no internet access at all. Plus working like crazy at work. I was going to try to get to the library but they closed by the time i am done at work. I had plans to do alot of challenges before the computer crash.

Now i got new challenges. I have some cards done to submit to magazines. Can't wait to do some for the magazines. Also i have done a shipment to Operation Write Home. A great cause to donate to.

Back from hiatus

Well you can call it a hiatus. The computer that i use had a meltdown. The harddrive went in it. I lost some of my photos. But hopefully i can get up to making and displaying cards. I went about a week or so without a computer. Let me tell you , it sucked. But hopefully i i can get with the challenges .

My Pink Stamper DT Challenge

Hello all.
When i saw that My Pink Stamper was having a DT call. I knew that i had to try out.
The project could be a card, page or any project.
It had to have the colors: brown, pink, green and color of your choice.

My color of choice was white.
I used Kraft brown paper, green and pink paper from Recollections.
I used my cricut expression with my gypsy to cut out my images.
I got the Chinese lanterns from The Pagoda cartridge.. I colored the layers with a pink copic and glitter with my stardust pen. I did faux stitching , accents with a white gel pen. I got the sentiment from My Pink Stampers New Everyday Life stamp set.
I hope everyone likes it. i love the simple layout of this card. I know i will make more with this layout for the troops.
