Happy Holidays

Hello. long time no hear. Sorry i haven't been creative lately. I have been looking for work. I got let go from my job after 12 yrs. It was quite a shock. So i was upset so making any cards was not a option. I am starting to get mojo back.  Still looking for work.
And with the holidays its harder. At least i get to be with friends and family.

Here is a couple of cards i did for the holidays last year or so.

Hello all. I guess i have to face the fact that its early winter here in NY. We have about three inches on the ground. I am so not ready for Winter. At least my meds are constant and i don't have to worry that the cold would really bother me.

I have been doing alot of winter/christmas cards at work during break and lunch.
I haven't got a lot of ones ready to send to friends yet.

It did this one a few days ago. I kinda wanted this guy to hold the sign but couldn't see how it would look right. I love the winter wishes set i got . Its by Fiskars. Its a fun set.
I had the background paper from The Paper Studio. You can't see in the pic, the scarf and boots are colored with glitter markers.

 Are you getting your cards done? I am hoping to get mine done soon. I know i have to do the presents for co-workers soon. I have to design the card for them. I am leaning towards using a House Mouse stamp for it. I  have a couple to choose from.

Can't believe to me time flies.

Hello all. I can't believe that its almost Thanksgiving. That means i better get work on my Christmas cards for family and friends. I am still playing with designs. I tries this one.

I just got these chipboard stickers from Basic Grey. They were on sale! I forgot that JoAnns carries Basic Grey, they have at least two sets by them. They have the accessoires too. I thought that the Papers from My Minds eye and DCWV made this card.

This is a A2 sized card. The tree layer is 4 x 5 1/4 . i cut the snow 4 x 2 1/2 and rounded the top to make hills. stamped the snowman and colored his hat and arms. cut him out and put him on the hill. put the stickers in the upper left hand corner.

this is a fun card to make and super easy.

Brrrrr

Well the title says it all. Its gotten to the low 30s at night. Just makes me go Brrrr......
I have really busy with my other hobby.
I don't know if i said it or not. I collect and show Model horses. Yes i play with Plastic horses LOL. This past weekend was our Regional show for Region 10. Two days of showing and hanging out with friends.
I must say that our region is one of the hardest regions to show in because everyone brings their A game. I keep telling myself that i am learning more and more by showing.
I got numerous ribbons, And Two Top Fives this weekend. One was in performance, doing my fave class: OF Games. My set-up is the rubber ducky ring toss. Everyone loves seeing those ducks. And my other was in Halter AR Other Pony, with my Pony resin called Edelweiss,
I was hoping to do more but the competition was really tough. I had a couple of people ask if i brought cards, I was so exicited to show i forgot to pack them. I will make some to put in with my show stuff next time.

Here is example of a class in a live model horse show. this was the last time i showed at Regionals.

I am hoping to get more horses qualified for Nationals. We will see.

Since it was really chilly outside i made a card saying that.

I made this before work this morning while i warmed up from coming in from my Jeep.
I have paper stashed at work. I just recently got this cute set from Fiskars. Its called Winter Wishes, As you can see the penquins are so cute.  I love to color the scarfs and clothing on them. I love the sentiment, i think i will be using it alot. I have to get my Xmas card samples for people at work setup. I am not leaving myself time. I want to do some that i can mass produce. research is in order,.

Halloween goodies

Hello all. I can;t believe its October already. Where has the year gone. It seems just like yesterday it was spring. I have been doing some things with my other hobby. Model horse collecting and showing, I went to a show beginning of the month. I did well. I haven't shown my models in a year. I got some Nationals qualifed cards and lots of ribbons.

I also have been making cards in spurts. When my mojo lets me. LOL

I had black cardstock so i had to use some. I have had this paper in my stash for awhile. It looks like monsters peeking out. I had dcwv paper from last year that matched well. i love using my white gel pen to embellish.

I love using this paper, its so cute. I had to use the monkey treater. Maybe a kid will like this card.

I had to use heidi grace rub-ons for this card. I combined sayings for it. Oh i love the drippy goo punch, its my go to punch for Halloween.
Will start getting Occasion cards ready for submission to Just Cards soon.
Hopefully i will get Published again.

Boo to you

Hello everyone. I hope all are doing fine out there. I have been doing well. I recently got another Issue of Just Cards. That means i got published again!!!!! I feel so good when i do. That means i get the bug to do more cards. I fiqured out that its late September so i should work on my Halloween cards.

i had this paper from Heidi Grace designs , isn't it stinkin cute? i thought it would make a cute card. I had some rub-ons from Heidi Grace too. So it took longer to do the layers on this card than anything. I love Halloween, its such a fun Holiday. Hope i can do another post soon, i am going to do another challenge card. so be on the lookout.

brainstorms and hole punchs

Hello all. I got this really cool idea last night as i went to bed. It had to do with hole punching, But only problem my good hole punch is at work.
So i got to do my ideas at work during break.
Why is it that alot of ideas come when you are not doing any cards?

i punched holes from cardstock and pattern paper. glued then to the base, drew lines for strings, and used the craft tape i got from Micheals. easy birthday card.

i punched holes then put colored cardstock behind to show thru. and put craft tape on for another quick b-day card.

I love these ideas, i hope i get more of them.
